Preparation
- Disassembly tools (usually included with the battery purchase)
- Hairdryer
- Recommended: Drain the battery completely before starting (for safety)
【1. Opening the Screen】
1. Turn off the phone.
2. Remove the two pentalobe screws at the bottom.
3. Use a hairdryer to heat the bottom-back of the phone for about 30–60 seconds.
4. Attach a suction cup to the screen and pull firmly until a gap appears.
5. Insert a plastic pick and slide it around the edges to separate the screen.
⚠️ The screen opens only to the right; do not exceed a 100-degree angle.
【2. Disconnecting Cables】
1. Remove the battery connector bracket (4 Phillips screws).
2. Remove the earpiece connector bracket (3 Phillips screws).
3. Disconnect the screen cables and the Home button cable.
⚠️ Screws are not interchangeable; keep them organized according to their original positions.
【3. Removing the Old Battery (Without Removing the Vibration Motor)】
1. Roll up the battery adhesive tabs and pull them out slowly.
2. If the adhesive breaks, heat the back of the phone for 30 seconds, then slowly pry up the battery.
【4. Installing the New Battery & Reassembly】
1. Position the battery correctly and secure it with battery adhesive.
⚠️ Do not connect the battery cable yet; doing so could fry the motherboard.
2. Apply the waterproof screen adhesive.
3. Connect the earpiece cable and install its bracket.
4. Connect the Home button cable and screen cables.
5. Connect the battery cable.
6. Turn on the phone and test the functions.
7. Install the battery connector bracket.
8. Close the screen and secure the bottom screws.
✅ Done! Easier than expected—saved at least 50 yuan!
